Ladies & Gentlemen, we are very excited to announce that we’re kicking off the new year with a nutrition challenge. The holiday’s are gone, and it is time to buckle down and make some changes so you can reach your health and fitness goals.
As you all know, we take nutrition very seriously at CrownTown. For the main reason that you will never get as lean as you want to be simply just working out. Our workouts are great, and for an hour a day 4-5 times a week it is the best around.
However, nutrition is the ultimate determining factor when it comes to body composition (bodyfat percentage). You can be strong and fit, but you cannot be lean without proper nutrition. We can all agree that this is the toughest aspect of reaching out goals. Working out is fun. Nutrition is hard. Also, being overweight, which leads to health issues is hard. Choose your hard.

And, what better way to decide it is time to make those changes than now? You have a large group of people who share a common goal that are willing to step forward and make a change now. With that community element, and the fact that it is a new year I urge you to get involved today.
For the first time we are allowing a third party to be a part of the challenge, so you can all have the extra support you need during the 6 weeks. There will be cash prizes for winners, and an optional weekly bodyfat scan to ensure you’re on track.
6 weeks can seem like a long time, but if you take advantage of the progress checks it will keep you motivated to see your efforts are making a difference. Something measured is something improved, so do not worry about your final test since you’ll have been in touch with your progress along the way.
Ready Fit Go will be here on Monday, January 15th to complete your before bodyscan. A sign up sheet will be posted in the gym by Thursday, January 11th.
Here are some details about how the challenge will go down:
4 ways to earn points
- Bodyfat lost (the percentage of what you lost, so it is fair regardless of numbers)
- Muscle gained
- Workouts (1 point for each workout / 5 points per week MAX)
- Post to Instagram once per week for 5 points (1 post per week MAX; must tag @crossfitcrowntown and use #crowntownchallenge)

Cost options
$50 includes entry and all body scans

$100 includes same as above plus Coach WW will calculate your calories, macros, and provide access to software that will keep you accountable during the 6 weeks. The software will provide an outline for you, daily tasks, and an open line of communication to Coach WW.
