CrossFit CrownTown does a body goooood! Here is a pic of two of our members last Halloween. Halloween is right around the corner. Are you going to pick a costume that shows off how CrossFit CrownTown has done your body good??? This isn’t the only reason for me posting this pic. These girls met through CrossFit. Today they are really close friends and they attend the same class to work out together. CrossFit isn’t just the best fitness program. It’s community. The camaraderie you experience through CrossFit is only understood by fellow CrossFitters. I heard a great quote from Zig Ziglar the other day.
“You don’t have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.” Come check out CrossFit CrownTown and experience what I’m talking about.

***Upcoming Events***

October 24th registration starts for the December 3rd event, “Battle of the Boxes”. This is being held at CrossFit Kinnick in Upland. Teams of 2 Men + 2 Women will be competing. As many teams as they want can register. Please let me know if you’re interested. http://www.battleoftheboxes.com (I am interested in registering several teams from our gym. – WW)

OC Throwdown registration is open. Weekly qualifying workout #1 of 3 has been released! Friday we plan to give it a 100%. This competition is Janurary 14th-15th, 2012. You must register and complete the qualifying workouts here at CrownTown in order to earn a spot to compete. Skill – no cussing in the gym (a new definition to cussing)

WOD – “2012 OC Throwdown Qualifier WOD #1″

10 minute AMRAP of:

75 Double Unders
50 Box jumps, 24″/20”
25 Shoulder-to-overhead, 105/70 pounds

*Note* competitors will have to be judged by me in order to validate score

Cool down – 3 X 15 Ab rolls and good mornings

*Remember all CrossFit style workouts are scalable and modifiable to each individuals fitness level
